Puig products are sold in more than 150 countries.

Today they are looking for a HR Manager (replacement role) to support the APAC office (based in Singapore).

Objectives and responsibilities

Reporting operationally to the Vice President of Asia (based in Singapore) and functionally to the Markets and Headquarters HR Director (based in Barcelona), you are ultimately responsible for acting as a partner to assist and support the business in Asia Pacific, which includes: a regional office which houses the local markets and travel retail teams and a joint venture in Singapore, a subsidiary in Australia, a retail and marketing team in Hong Kong and HR service partners in the India subcontinent.

The candidate will have to provide appropriate HR frameworks to manage these multi-channel/multi-region operations of Puig Asia Pacific in a sustainable manner, while adhering to local statutory employment requirements:

Talent acquisition and management:
• To support hiring managers to attract and employ appropriately skilled staff to meet business needs
• To implement an adequate induction program to increase staff integration and optimize employee relations
• To implement annual appraisal process, analyse the results and develop the training needs for all Business Units to ensure continued employee engagement
• To be a guardian of and role model of the PUIG values as a leader of the HR function and influence other leaders to do so to ensure a sense of belonging for all employees

Compensation and Benefits management:
• To analyse external compensation & benefits trends to ensure competitiveness to market as well as internal equity
• To prepare yearly compensation proposals for all Business Units

Policy and procedures management:
• To align with all Group Policies (includes Ethical code) defined by Corporate HR
• To review, adjust and execute on local guidelines and policies to support business growth and performance
• To assist with further development of HR systems & HR procedures
• To provide communication and guidance to employees on policies and procedures as well as changes in labour laws

HR operational process management:
• To prepare annual HR budget including FTE estimation, Net Personnel Expenses, Training and Development plans, Recruitment, etc., and monitor/control the defined HR budget
• To maintain Employee master database (SAP) and monthly HR cost submission and verification in collaboration with Finance (BW/Spotlight)
• To manage the payroll & leave administration process, liaising with and managing effective relationships with payroll agencies and Finance as required

HR strategic projects:
• To undertake a variety of local and global HR projects/initiatives like change management and people review processes (i.e. research, proposals, negotiation, localization, implementation and monitoring of HR initiatives)

Staff/Team Management:
• Define an efficient HR team structure to support the growth of the business units across multiple geographies
• Manage 1 HR executive in Singapore

Your profile

• You have a minimum of 10 years of total working experience in Human Resources Management
• You have rounded HR generalist skills (recruitment, compensation and benefits, payroll, development, change management...) combined with successful experience as a true HR business partner assisting business heads (assessing needs, providing and implementing solutions)
• You are able to think strategically while also being very hands-on (ability to execute and implement practical actions and programs)
• You enjoy working in a multicultural and entrepreneurial environment
• You are energetic and able to bring creative and practical inputs to the business units
• You are fluent in English and Mandarin
• You are able to travel 10% of your time
